The IS Clinical Fire & Ice Facial is a multi-step treatment that includes the use of two powerful mask applications. The first mask represents the fire, and the second, the ice. 

The Fire mask is clinically formulated to resurface the skin and is full of potent antioxidants, botanical acids, and niacin. These powerful ingredients work to remove dead cells without residual peeling, so there is no downtime.

The Ice mask soothes, nourishes, and hydrates after the Fire exfoliation. Ice leaves skin hydrated and fully refreshed, for a healthy glow.

This treatment resurfaces the skin, helping to reduce acne and improve the look of acne scarring. The hydration mask reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles and encourages the natural cellular renewal of your skin.

Although a Fire & Ice facial does involve a chemical peel, it’s very unlikely you will experience any kind of pain or discomfort during your treatment. This facial is generally considered risk-free and side-effect-free.

You don’t need to do anything specific to prepare for this treatment. However, we do recommend that you avoid chemical peels and retinols as well as sun exposure for at least a week prior to treatment. If you are on accutane or other medication that makes your skin thin or weak, speak to your doctor or aesthetician before treatment.

Your IS Clinical Fire & Ice skin treatment session time is approximately 45 minutes.

After your treatment, you can expect to have skin that is soft and supple, that looks bright and clear, and has a distinct healthy glow. If you struggle with a skin condition such as acne or rosacea, you’ll find your blemishes and redness are soothed, making them far less noticeable.

If you do happen to experience an unlikely effect of skin that appears more red than usual, allow your skin to breathe and relax without makeup for a few hours.

Most people require no healing time after their facial. If you do experience any residual redness or tightness in the forehead after a Fire & Ice facial, allow your skin to rest and you should feel better within a few hours.

Aftercare instruction for your Fire & Ice skin treatment:

Be sure to stay out of direct sun for 5 days. The chemical peel will make your skin more susceptible to burns. Make sure you wear an SPF of 30-50 whenever you need to be in the sun. Avoid retinols and other chemical peels for at least 2 weeks after your session.

You can wear makeup after your session, however, we encourage you to wait at least a few hours before putting on any makeup. Also, be sure to use a moisturizing cream regularly to help maintain the look.

After your treatment, do not go into direct sunlight. Be sure to protect your skin with an SPF of at least 30-60.

You can do a Fire & Ice treatment as often as once a month or as part of a recommended skin care plan.

Fire & Ice is not considered dangerous and is safe for all skin types and tones. 

Contraindications

You should not have a Fire & Ice facial if you have cuts or abrasions on your face or have an active rash.

If you have cancer or are pregnant or nursing you are able to safely enjoy Fire & Ice.

Side Effects

There are no specific side effects noted about Fire & Ice. It rarely causes any kind of adverse reaction. Some minor risks of treatment include mild sensitivity and redness following the treatment which should subside within a few hours.
