Venus Viva

Venus Viva skin resurfacing treatments use 160 nano needles, which are extremely tiny pins that deliver heat beneath the skin’s surface. This heat is caused by Radio Frequency. These pins create very small micro-injuries which cue the body to begin a cascade of healing. This process encourages the skin to regenerate tissue and produce collagen and elastin to  repair signs of skin damage. 

If you are seeking wrinkle reduction, Venus Viva includes use of the DiamondPolar applicator which uses Radio Frequency and Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields to further heat the skin. This process results in smoother skin with less sagging. Everyone will notice how much more youthful you appear.

When your session begins, your skin will be fully cleansed in preparation for your Venus Viva treatment. During the Venus Viva application, your technician uses an applicator to press tiny pins into the skin while it also delivers heat, creating micro-wounds in the dermis. The micro-pin application takes 15-30 minutes. Then, your technician will apply moisturizers to be sure your skin is well-hydrated.

Venus Viva is incredibly safe for all skin types and tones. However, if you have any of these conditions, your technician may ask you to forgo your treatment.

For safety reasons, you may not be able to get this treatment if you:

• Have a pacemaker or defibrillator, or other electrical implant.
• Have a rash or open wounds in the treatment area.
• Have sunburn.
• Have had cancer (either in the present or past).
• Have any metal plates or permanent implants in the face or on the treatment area.
• Are pregnant or nursing.
• Are otherwise sick or injured.
• Have uncontrolled diabetes.
• Are taking prescription medication to thin the blood.
• Have had cosmetic injections within the past 2 weeks.
• Have had surgical procedures in the past 3 months.
• Have had other resurfacing treatments or chemical peels in the past 30 days.
• Have tattoos in the treatment area.
• Have a skin-related autoimmune disease such as lupus.

You’re an excellent candidate if you aren’t experiencing any contraindication for treatment, and if you have skin damage like wrinkles, scars, rosacea, acne, or any other skin conditions that affect your skin tone or texture.

If you’re currently on prescription medication, write down the name and use of the meds so your technician can be sure they don’t cause any contraindications to treatment. If possible, come to your treatment with clean skin. Try to avoid applying any lotions, powders, or makeup before your treatment, and avoid the sun for at least a few days beforehand. If you have a lot of hair in your treatment area, you may want to have it removed a week before your treatment so your skin is not obstructed.

After your treatment, you may feel a little like you have a sunburn, and your skin may be red and warm. This should disappear within 24 hours. A light fan may help you feel more comfortable. You’ll need to avoid putting anything on your skin for a full 24 hours. You should not even get your skin wet while the micro-punctures heal. Be sure to sleep on a freshly washed pillowcase the night after your treatment, and avoid contact with pets and other animals for a full 24 hours.

You’ll begin to see results 1-2 weeks after your treatment and your skin will see the full effects of the treatment within 4 weeks. 

You’ll likely need more than 1 treatment to see optimal results. After your final treatment, you will need touch up treatments about every 6 months to maintain the look.

After your first treatment, the immediate results will last at least 7 days. Because Aqua Pure dramatically increases your body’s collagen and elastin production, your skin will continue to improve in the weeks following your treatment. As with all our science-based, technological facials, the cumulative effects of continued treatment will increase the longevity of your results. This includes regularly scheduled facials and a consistent at-home care routine.

After you’ve reached optimal results, you’ll begin to see the effect fade after 6 months to one year. You can receive touch-up treatments to maintain the look.
