Novuskin, Las Vegas’ premiere membership MedSpa offers our Enzymatic Pore Cleanse procedure, an effective therapy for complete exfoliation, deep cleansing, and nourishing of the skin. Our enzyme peel is especially formulated to be safe on even sensitive skin that normally can’t tolerate chemical peels. Our Enzymatic Pore Cleanse removes impurities and sebum build-up to unclog pores. The enzyme peel mask is applied across the forehead, temples, nose, cheeks, and chin. This enzyme-infused mask creates a chemical reaction that increases blood and oxygen flow to the skin cells of the face. The pores open, allowing the enzymes to exfoliate and abrade impurities. Following the mask application, rich serums are applied to the skin, allowing vitamin-rich moisturizers to sink deep into the pores. The skin is left smooth, soft, glowing, and healthy. This enzyme facial peel is one of the most beneficial and gentle chemical treatments you can get at Novuskin’s clinical skin care center.
This is the treatment you’ve been waiting for.
Smooth, soft, completely refreshed skin.
Pore Cleanse
Our PCA Skin Enzymatic Treatment is a chemical peel alternative that is less harsh than many traditional peel therapies. Gentle on the skin, our enzyme pore cleanse will leave you feeling completely cleansed without the sensitivity and pain that can be associated with a chemical peel. We use an enzyme peel for professional use that’s FDA-registered and safe for the skin.
This 2-step pore cleanse uses a deep cleansing enzyme mask followed by an application of rich serums and restorative moisturizers.
Enzyme peels, unlike chemical peels, do not attack living skin cells. Instead, they aim to remove only dead skin and debris clogging pores. Novuskin’s enzymatic peel is made from fruit enzymes that are taken from a number of different fruits known for their ability to react safely with the skin.
This makes it a suitable treatment even if you have rosacea, acne, or other sensitivity issues.

FAQs
What is an enzyme peel?
An enzyme peel is a skin detoxifying treatment that works similarly to a chemical peel, but is much gentler. It uses natural enzymes taken from fruit cells as well as nourishing antioxidants to safely and effectively remove built up sebum from the skin.
Enzyme peels detoxify the skin, open pores, and deeply nourish and hydrate. They are safe for even sensitive and problematic skin.
How does it work?
An enzymatic peel really works to help open up clogged pores. The enzymes work in conjunction with the living cells found on the skin to eat away dirt and debris. This process also helps remove dead cells so your skin looks completely refreshed. Clogged pores are opened and blackheads removed so your skin looks clean and bright.
Enzyme cleansers and moisturizers make this treatment safer for sensitive skin so if you have not been able to tolerate chemical peels, enzyme peels may be a good alternative.
How do I unclog my pores?
While you can manually exfoliate your skin, the best way to unclog pores on your face is to use a peel. If you have sensitivity, using an enzyme peel facial may help you get the results you want.
Is it painful to use enzymes to unclog pores?
There is generally no pain associated with enzyme pore cleanses. While chemical peels can cause discomfort, most people tolerate enzyme cleanses much better.
How to prepare for the procedure?
While there is not a lot you need to do to prepare for an enzyme pore cleanse, it is wise to stay out of direct sun within a few days of your treatment so as not to arrive with any kind of sunburn. Please avoid using retinols or other chemical peels for 2 weeks before your treatment.
How long is an enzymatic treatment facial?
Your enzymatic peel facial session takes approximately 45 minutes of time.
Recovery Time
There is generally no healing time or downtime necessary with an enzyme peel. It’s possible you may have slight residual redness or irritation which should clear up within a few hours. In rare cases, a small amount of peeling has been reported. If your skin does peel slightly, you don’t need to worry. Keep your face hydrated and allow it one to two weeks to heal.
Aftercare
Following your treatment, keep your skin hydrated. Stay out of direct sunlight for one week after treatment and wear an SPF of 30-50 every day!
What to do after an enzyme peel?
To maintain your results, use a gentle, exfoliating cleanser once a week to help keep the pores open. Use high-quality skin care products to keep your skin healthy and hydrated.
What not to do after an enzyme peel?
After an enzyme peel, your aesthetician will give you specific skin care instructions. Be sure to use a high-quality moisturizing cream, however, don’t use any retinols or chemical peels for at least 2 weeks following your treatment.
How often should you do enzyme exfoliation?
Enzyme peels are safe to use once a month or as part of a professionally recommended treatment plan. If you feel you need daily exfoliation, you can use a gentle enzyme skin care line or exfoliating cleanser to perform a home enzyme peel weekly.
Is it safe to use enzymes to unclog pores? What are the side effects and contraindications?
There are very few risks of using enzymes to unclog your pores. It is generally considered a safe and gentle procedure.
Contraindications
There are almost no contraindications for an enzyme peel. Even if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should be able to have an enzyme pore cleanse. If you have skin cancer or have had cancer, speak to your doctor before using an enzyme peel.
Side Effects
There are generally no adverse effects or complications associated with enzyme skin peels. In rare occurrences, a small amount of peeling may occur, however, it should heal easily on its own within one to two weeks.
