Microdermabrasion Machine
The Zemits Verstand Pro is a cutting-edge full-featured machine that allows us to use some of the most advanced and effective treatments available today.
Diamond Microdermabrasion
Zemits professional microdermabrasion machine wand is fitted with a diamond tip. Incredibly strong and perfectly sharpened, the diamond works to effectively remove the outer layer of skin for a medical-grade exfoliation.
The FDA-cleared Zemits equipment comes with a large variety of sizes and grids of abrasive diamond tips so your esthetician can get closer to the mouth and the eye area, and perform precise treatments.
The adjustable vacuum suction system allows us to treat different skin types and control the depths of the peel.
It also allows for a cleaner treatment as there is no crystal spray meaning the machine requires less maintenance.
Microdermabrasion Treatment
Diamond tip microdermabrasion is a non-laser, completely painless procedure that will finally give you the smooth, satiny skin you’ve been dreaming of. This facial uses a handheld wand fitted with a diamond tip that is used to gently exfoliate the skin’s surface. Simultaneously, a vacuum suction removes dead skin cells and blackheads from the face, opening up the pores. The process of exfoliation stimulates circulation and blood flow to improve the skin’s brightness and tone. Similar to a chemical peel, medical microdermabrasion removes the topmost layers of dull skin to reveal the new skin below allowing for a fresh milia-free appearance. Microdermabrasion treatments are suitable for all skin types and tones including black skin, and can be helpful with many skin concerns.
Here’s what you can expect from this facial:
Anti Aging
It can help remove wrinkles and fine lines. Laugh lines, crows feet, and skin laxity can all be improved.
Pigmentation
The appearance of freckles and sunspots can be lessened.
Texture

FAQs
What is microdermabrasion?
A microdermabrasion facial is a skin treatment used to resurface the skin on the face. Like a gentle sanding of the skin, microdermabrasion exfoliates dead skin and opens pores using a delicate and very sharp diamond tip while simultaneously suctioning away dirt and debris.
This leaves the skin feeling smooth, soft, and incredibly clean. If the surface of your skin is blemished, scarred, or dull, or if you have inconsistencies in color or texture, microdermabrasion can help to give you a smoothed, soft look with a gorgeous healthy glow.
What does a microdermabrasion treatment look like?
During your treatment, microdermabrasion may be used to resurface the skin. After a thorough cleansing of surface makeup and debris, your aesthetician will use a small, hand held wand fitted on one end with a diamond to perform microdermabrasion. The wand simultaneously suctions while gently exfoliating dead skin and areas of inconsistent tone and texture.
The wand is moved in a pattern across the skin so that it covers the entire face slowly and consistently. Typically, your technician will pass the wand over your skin three times.
The treatment is comfortable and pain free. After your microdermabrasion, other procedures may be used on the skin, depending on the treatment booked.
What does microdermabrasion do?
Microdermabrasion is a method of skin resurfacing, which means, it removes everything that’s making your skin feel rough or look uneven. What microdermabrasion can do for you is, much like how a gentle sanding works, make your skin feel smooth and look even and consistent.
Is microdermabrasion safe? What are the side effects and contraindications?
The technology used in microdermabrasion is FDA-approved and very safe and not dangerous. There are very few risks of microdermabrasion treatment. Microdermabrasion is indicated for all skin tones and types. We believe almost everyone can benefit from a microdermabrasion facial. The technology used is safe and beneficial for most skin concerns including aging, congested and enlarged pores, and skin that has uneven texture and tone.
While providing you with excellent results, this facial is very gentle and can be used even on acne prone, acne scarred, or troubled skin without adverse effects. Generally, there are no safety indications necessary with microdermabrasion, but your aesthetician is trained to speak with you about any concerns they may foresee.
Microdermabrasion, unlike hydradermabrasion, is safe for pregnant or nursing women.
If you have eczema on your face, open sores or wounds, or an active rash, microdermabrasion should be avoided until your skin has cleared. Also, if you have cancer or HIV, microdermabrasion should be avoided.
This treatment is indicated for the all-around health of the skin. If you have a severe skin-health concern or skin condition that you want to address, there may be other treatments better suited for you. Your aesthetician can help you decide.
Microdermabrasion side effects
Side effects may include:
- Mild redness which fades after a few hours
- Scratches on face after microdermabrasion
Does microdermabrasion hurt?
Generally speaking, microdermabrasion does not cause pain. Many people find microdermabrasion relaxing, but it may cause very mild discomfort, and has been described as feeling similar to the lick of a cat’s tongue. If your treatment is painful at any point, please notify your technician right away.
Who’s a good candidate for a microdermabrasion treatment?
Microdermabrasion is a good choice for anyone who would like to elevate the overall appearance of their face and have a fresh, resurfaced look. Excellent candidates are generally healthy individuals who may have acne, wrinkles, clogged or large pores, or would like to see an improvement in their uneven skin tone or texture. Microdermabrasion is safe for all skin tones and types, including darker skin tones.
Most people tolerate microdermabrasion well, however, if you have severe rosacea or sensitive skin, speak to your technician before your treatment begins.
How do you prepare?
Before your treatment, avoid using any chemical peels or retinols. Also, avoid getting a sunburn as the treatment can’t be done over an area that’s had too much sun exposure. Don’t spray tan beforehand as the treatment will likely remove portions of your tan and leave a streaked, uneven look. If you are on accutane, speak to your dermatology specialist about stopping your treatment for a time preceding your treatment. You can not have microdermabrasion if you are taking accutane.
Aftercare Instructions
If you’re wondering what to do after microdermabrasion, don’t be too worried! You don’t have to do much. Just be sure to wear sunscreen and you will need to limit your sun exposure after your treatment (and every day!) to help protect the skin and maintain your look. Drink plenty of water in the days following your facial to help elevate the effects of the treatment. You’ll be able to wear makeup and use your skincare products after your treatment.
Does microdermabrasion work? How soon can you see results from a microdermabrasion facial?
Yes! Microdermabrasion really works! You’ll see immediate results from microdermabrasion and your skin’s tone and texture will continue to improve in the days following your treatment. You’ll notice that your skin feels remarkably soft and smooth. If you have acne or dark spots, you’ll notice an immediate and progressive improvement in your skin, especially with a dedicated and consistent treatment plan.
How many microdermabrasion treatments do I need to see results?
Most people have 3-6 microdermabrasion sessions to see best results, with touch up treatments every 6 months to maintain the look.
How often should I get this procedure?
You can get microdermabrasion every 2 weeks safely. We generally recommend having a session once a month, however, we will create a treatment plan based on your unique goals. Your current skin condition will help to dictate how often you should use microdermabrasion.
How long will the results last?
Your results will last 3-4 weeks, however, with a dedicated and consistent skin care plan, your microdermabrasion results will be cumulative, and you’ll see longer lasting results. After some time and a number of sessions, you’ll see remarkable changes in your skin, especially if you have acne or other blemishes.
What should I expect after microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion effects are immediate, but your skin will continue to improve in the weeks following treatment. You may notice some mild redness and scratches on the face after microdermabrasion, which is more common with people who have sensitive skin. These effects are temporary and will fade within a few hours.
Recovery Time
Microdermabrasion generally does not require any healing time. If you experience any sensitivity or pain after microdermabrasion, it will fade within a few hours, however, this is rare. You shouldn’t need any downtime, and your skin will begin a natural healing process immediately.
What’s the difference between microdermabrasion and hydradermabrasion?
Similar to microdermabrasion, hydradermabrasion extracts the skin’s impurities and simultaneously suctions pores to remove debris and dirt, targeting the deepest layers of the skin.
However, instead of using a diamond tip to help exfoliate the skin, hydradermabrasion uses a special blend of chemicals and serums to remove the outer layers of the skin and open up clogged pores.
