What is a Venus Legacy treatment?
Venus Legacy uses a combination of Radio Frequency and Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields to firm and tighten skin on the face and body, decrease the look of wrinkles, and reduce fat and cellulite. Venus Legacy is non-invasive and generally considered a relaxing treatment. It is pain-free and offers excellent results on all skin tones and types with no downtime.
What does a Venus Legacy treatment look like?
Your technician will begin your treatment by thoroughly cleansing the skin. The Venus Legacy machine uses handheld devices — a smaller wand for the face and a larger wand for the body. Your technician will apply a gel to aid in allowing the device to glide across the skin comfortably. The devices are moved gently across the skin while heating the area to an effective yet comfortable temperature. Your skin is gently kneaded throughout. Your treatment will take approximately 45 minutes.
Is Venus Legacy safe? What are the side effects and contraindications?
Venus Legacy is very safe and has no side effects for qualified candidates. Contraindications to treatment are rare, but include:
- infection or inflammation in the treatment site
- Skin cancer
- Implants in the treatment site, or any defibrillator or pacemaker
- Epilepsy
- Auto-immune disorders of the skin
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please refrain from having Venus Legacy treatments.
Who’s a good candidate for a Venus Legacy treatment?
Anyone who wants to contour or reduce the look of aging on the face, firm and tighten skin, or reduce the look of fat and cellulite is an excellent candidate for Venus Legacy. This treatment is safe and effective for all skin tones and types.
How do you prepare?
Arrive for your treatment with clean skin. If you are coming from work or somewhere where you will be wearing makeup, you’ll be able to remove your makeup at the spa. You should avoid shaving or waxing on the day of your treatment, and avoid retinol and acids on the face for 5 days before and after your treatment.
Aftercare
Be sure to wear SPF of 30-50 every day for 2 weeks following your treatment. You’ll be able to return to regular activities immediately. Avoid retinol and acids for 5 days following your treatment.
How soon can you see results from a Venus Legacy treatment?
You will see some results of your Venus Legacy treatment immediately, but will likely need 8-12 treatments to see your optimal results. Following your completed treatment plan, you’ll continue to see improvements in the look of your skin for 2-4 months. To maintain the look, your aesthetician will develop a treatment plan that may require follow up treatments.
How long will the results last?
Your results will likely last 3-6 months with scheduled follow-up treatments to help maintain the look.
